EDUCATION
Giving children a chance to get education and learn in a safe classroom
HOUSING
Building safe and functional homes for families in need.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Helping to build important infrastructures in rural African communities.
ESSENTIAL PROJECTS
Essential projects can be taken for granted in the developed world, but in parts of Africa, the impact will be immeasurable, maybe even a matter of life and death.
Education and technology will empower millions to rise from extreme poverty and proper sanitation will prevent sickness from diseases.
Solar power and Wi-Fi accessibilities will bring electricity, light, and information to places for the very first time in human history.

HOUSING
As one of the least developed countries in the world, economic and national instability are the main causes of homelessness in Liberia.
Liberia struggled with 14 years of civil wars (1989 – 2003) and in 2014, Liberia recorded some of the highest Ebola virus case numbers in the world.
As a result, 5,900 Liberian children lost one or both parents, leaving many with no option but to live on the streets.
Consequently, Liberians often find themselves without work or shelter and 70% of the urban population lives in the slums.
Women in Liberia are not able to supply housing with as much autonomy as men do. Economic behaviours and expectations in marriage are still asymmetrical with more autonomy for the man than the woman.
EDUCATION
Only 43% of children (of the official primary school age group) attend primary education or higher at any time during the reference academic year.
14% of children (of lower secondary school age) attend lower secondary school or higher.
12% of children attend upper secondary school or higher.
27% – Out of school rate (upper secondary).
Virtually all African countries are facing an acute shortage of teachers.
INFRASTRUCTURE
25% of Liberians have no access to basic water (piped water, dwells, springs, and/or collection time is less than 30 minutes.
An average of 10% of the population has piped water on premises (Monrovia).
An average of 35% of the population has a toilet or pour flush in the house (Monrovia).
An average of 32% of the population has a public toilet nearby (Monrovia).
1% of the households use mains electricity for cooking.
2,8% of the households use mains electricity for lighting.
SINGLE MOTHERS
Research conducted in some counties of Liberia suggests that approximately 95 percent of women in the country are single mothers.
34% of women (aged 20-24 years) give birth before age 18.
26% of mothers / newborns do not have a postnatal contact with a health provider within 2 days of delivery.
50% of children (6 – 59 months) do not get annual Vitamin A two-dose coverage.
65% of children do not receive the 2nd dose of measles-containing vaccine (as per administered in the national schedule).
SOLUTIONS
Housing
MoneyWithoutBorders will launch two housing projects in Liberia 2024 – 2025.
BUILDING PROJECT #1
MoneyWithoutBorders is raising funds to develop three communities for women and single mothers in Liberia in 2024.
Each community consists of:
1 housing building – 150 units
1 school
1 clinic
Total: 450 housing units, 3 schools, and 3 clinics.
The construction work will be completed by American (leadership) and local builders as well as volunteer workers.
The total cost is appr. $10.000.000.
We are raising funds via donations as well as DuDe Coin & NFTs, created and established by our “sister” organization The People’s Money.
BUILDING PROJECT #2
If you are an expat in Liberia, you are not allowed to own land. Only the citizens of Liberia can. Therefore, there is a huge demand for rental units (for expats) in Monrovia. Rents are rising up to $2 000 / month for 2 bdr. apartments.
MoneyWithoutBorders will launch a rental apartment building project in 2025. This project consists of appr. 200 rental units (for expats).
The project cost is approximately $10.000.000.
When completed, all rental income income (after expenses) will be directed towards helping single mothers, and children, medicine, books, and food programs.
Education
African philosophy of education is a scientific enterprise which has three constitutive aspects: firstly, to be reasonable in one’s articulations; secondly, to demonstrate moral maturity; and thirdly, to be attuned to deliberation.
Education in Africa is a major priority for MoneyWithoutBorders and the UIS (The UNESCO Institute for Statistics). In response, the UIS develops indicators to help governments, donors, and MWB partners better address the challenges.
For example, the UIS tracks the extent to which schools lack basic amenities, such as access to electricity and potable water, while monitoring classroom conditions – from the availability of textbooks to average class sizes and the prevalence of multi-grade classrooms.
MoneyWithoutBorders has been actively forming small teams in Liberia since 2020. These teams work hands-on in local schools, helping the children as well as the teachers.
Our goal is always to work with already existing local organizations, as well as local people. This way we will accomplish the most powerful and effective results, the fastest.
MoneyWithoutBorders has generated $160.000 directly into ground-level educational work in Liberia.
Infrastructure
Our approach involves partnering with local leaders, grass-root leadership, and district local governments in the rural areas of Liberia and West Africa to ensure that all households have access to safe water, proper sanitation, and hygiene facilities.
We equip and train homes with acceptable sanitation practices to eradicate preventable diseases that plague communities and lead to poverty. Our implementation targets areas with the greatest need.
Single Mothers
MoneyWithoutBorders is helping single mothers in Liberia.
MoneyWithoutBorders helps single mothers in Liberia by providing them with housing, financial support and other resources to help them succeed. The goal is to help single mothers become self-sufficient, successful women who will be able to provide for their families.
We provide the following services:
Financial support.
Financial literacy education.
Job skills training.
Support groups.
We also provide microloans so that single mothers can start businesses and earn extra money. This will not only help them financially but also give them more time to spend with their children instead of working long hours at low paying jobs.
